On 15 September 2018, a twenty-three strong team from the London office ventured north to take on ‘The Langdale 10’ challenge. The course, comprising a hike up ten of the largest fells in the Lake District, covered 14 miles and 5,100ft of ascent and descent. With finishing times ranging from 7 hours 30 minutes for the ‘fast’ group, to 10 hours in the more leisurely group, it was a great achievement for all to have completed such a demanding route over treacherous terrain.
The event was held in aid of The Cystic Fibrosis Trust, a charity at the forefront of cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way. The Dixon Wilson team raised a grand total of £4,800 with the help of generous friends, family and colleagues.
Altogether and despite many weary limbs on Monday morning, it was a thoroughly enjoyable weekend for a worthwhile cause, with all walkers eager for the next challenge....
