The training contract is very well structured with time clearly divided between weeks in college and weeks working in the office across several disciplines including accounts, audit and tax. I have enjoyed being given more responsibility as my confidence has grown. Trainees work on tasks for senior colleagues who I have always found to be approachable and willing to provide regular feedback. I feel that my personal development is supported and encouraged.
Dixon Wilson is very supportive with the busy exam schedule and trainees are encouraged to form a strong sense of community which means we all support each other with our study for the ACA qualification.
I am thoroughly enjoying the challenge of working towards the ACA qualification in a firm that is fast-paced and exciting. Trainees are expected to work hard but the firm has a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere and there is an expectation that we should have a good work-life balance. The firm offers plenty of social events where trainees can get to know more senior colleagues on a social level. There is also a busy sporting calendar which includes fixtures against other firms which are very enjoyable.
