I joined Dixon Wilson in August 2017 following a career in investment banking. I started as an ACA trainee and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in August 2020. Having built up a portfolio of clients, I became a manager in October 2022.

As a manager there is a huge variety of work with the rare opportunity to be involved in accounts, tax, advisory and audit assignments. I have had the chance to shape my client portfolio to suit my interests and abilities. My portfolio is an interesting mix of individuals, partnerships, companies, charities, families, trusts and estates.

My job is incredibly varied, challenging and fulfilling. I enjoy problem solving and providing advice to individuals which helps them to manage their finances, businesses and ultimately their lives.

As a manager at Dixon Wilson there is ongoing training and development and a clearly defined career path. The firm’s flexible working arrangements mean that I can balance the needs of my clients with the demands of family life.

There is a very supportive working environment; people are approachable and friendly. I have found it very rewarding being able to use my knowledge and qualifications to mentor and train colleagues.

Outside of my client work I’ve enjoyed helping promote inclusion through participation at Dixon Wilson’s Women’s Focus Group and its Diversity and Inclusion committee.

The firm organises a huge range of social activities which make it a fun place to work and a great place to build friendships.
